Reforming Schools

Schools haven’t changed much in 200 years despite a long history of school reform efforts.

And, while many people regard some aspects of schooling as being in desperate need of an update (think preacher-from-the-pulpit or Ben Stein’s  “Anyone…Anyone”-style teaching), it seems our nation can’t shake some of these habits.

These pages offer insight about current school reform initiatives including Common Core State Standards, charter schools, voucher programs and efforts to improve teaching quality across the nation.
